Sabbath Day

“NO WORK OF ANY KIND IS TO BE DONE ON THE SABBATH (the 7^th day of the week), NOT EVEN LIGHTING OF A FIRE. THIS COMMANDMENT IS PERMANENT. DEATH IS THE PENALTY FOR VIOLATION.”

(NOTE: THIS WOULD REQUIRE EVEN THAT ESSENTIAL SERVICES, SUCH AS HOSPITALS, POLICE DEPARTMENTS, FIRE DEPARTMENT ETC., SHUT DOWN ON THE SABBATH (the 7th day of the week)

Imagine a day where no one is doing his job (the doctors, drivers, cooks, operators of water and electric ulilities, vendors etc.); The Roman Catholic Church observe the Sabbath day on Sunday; why do the priests, bishops including the pope do their job on Sunday; why?

The biblical basis:

Exodus 20:8-11 (King James Version)

8Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.

9Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:

10But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:

11For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.

Exodus 31:15-17 (King James Version)

15Six days may work be done; but in the seventh is the sabbath of rest, holy to the LORD: whosoever doeth any work in the sabbath day, he shall surely be put to death.

1Kings 3:12, 16-28 Solomon, the wisest man that ever lived, can think of no better way to determine the natural mother of a child in dispute than to threaten to divide the child in half. (Note: This does not take into account the possibility of mental derangement on the part of the natural mother.)

(Note: Assuming one additional woman per man of fighting age, plus two persons per man [either older persons or children] would put the Jewish population of the surrounding area at a minimum of 4,800,000 persons; hardly feasible.)

2Chronicles 13:17 500,000 Israelites are slain in a single battle. (Note: This is more than were lost in any single battle of World War II, and even exceeds the number of deaths that resulted from the dropping of the atomic bombs on Nagasaki and Hiroshima.)
